About

Matthew Pulomena is a composer for film, television, and video games.

His work ranges from orchestral and chamber writing to hybrid and electronic scores, with an emphasis on melody and harmonic depth, and on sounds, rhythms, and textures that serve the story.

He believes music belongs in the conversation early, as part of how a film is built, rather than something applied at the end. He's happiest working as part of a team.

Trained at Berklee College of Music, he works across the full pipeline — composition, orchestration, production, and mixing — from spotting session to final delivery. He is Pro Tools certified and works primarily in Cubase, Pro Tools, and Dorico.

He grew up in New Jersey and lives there now with his wife and kids. Before returning to music full time, he spent a decade running a small restaurant, which taught him most of what he knows about deadlines.
